Back to the running track at the Science University of Malaysia again, and this time I ran amidst wafts of deodorant, hair gel, and clothes detergent from fellow runners who cut past me and I, them. The sky was clear at 6 pm and I would have enjoyed myself more had my bangs not get in my eyes every so often, no thanks to the wind. Time for a hair trim or at least to get a headband.
I decided from the moment I began my run that today the target was simply to at least match my last run on Tuesday evening. So when the Nike run app showed 2.70 miles and 30 minutes (vs. Tuesday’s 2.70 miles in 33 minutes) I felt like throwing my arms in the air and thrusting my torso forward as if crossing an imaginary finish line. But I simply stopped and did my warming down moves and wiped my sweat.
It’s fried rice for dinner tonight. I decided the burger would be more suited for tomorrow–because it would then be Friday. Yippie! To both Friday and breaking my own modest record.
